I thread a stainless steel chain through the top, and secure it to the roof of the cage. With natural variation in manufacture, some are tightly woven and some more loosely woven: the looser weave, i add crinkle paper: then add millet pieces.
My budgies love chasing the ball as it swings about; i even get to sing “wrecking ball” at Willow when he jumps on the ball to get at the millet 🙂
